SCHOOL CONTROVERSY THREATENS TO OVERSHADOW REMEMBRANCE DAY SERVICES

Remembrance Day services were held across the Hunter, as those young and old paid their respects.
But one small school’s decision almost threatened to overshadow proceedings.

  1. Why did those diggers die for their country? They died so that their families and friends could live in a free country where everyone is treated fairly and given a fair go. I don’t believe any of those diggers, in their wildest dreams, could have imagined the world we live today. I’m just glad to see that in this fast paced modern world Public Schools have Principals and P&Cs can put aside differences of belief, stay focused on the real issue of hold heartfelt service that honours those who gave their lives.

  2. this ceremony is a part of our culture., many of our diggers would have told you how they said a prayer whilst in battle. This day is about them not about upsetting others. Imagine how this decision would have made them feel
