WEATHER UPDATE: TYPICAL SPRING

A mixture of weather is on the way. Today the southerly freshened across Newcastle and the Central Coast, pumping in cloud but no rain. Elsewhere across the region it’s been sunny and warm to hot, particularly inland.

The southerly will continue to move north. This, combined with a stalled trough line, is going to produce showers and storms mostly across the higher ground of the Northern Ranges, with some activity spilling off to the west over the slopes and east across the Northern Rivers and south east Queensland.

Later in the week expect some extreme heat across the Hunter, Mid North Coast and North West, with Friday being the worst.
