OPAL CARD GOES LIVE ON COAST BUSES

It was d-day for the opal card, which went live on more than 160 Central Coast buses this morning.

Another 100 buses are expected to be included by the end of the week.

The cashless card was rolled out across the rail network earlier this year, after much fanfare.

Transport Minister, Gladys Berejiklian, says so far the transition from paper tickets to opal has been well received.
