MAN HIT BY CAR IN CLARENCE TOWN
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward, after a man was hit by a car in the Hunter Valley earlier this week.
At around 2:45am on Monday, an off-duty police officer found a 24-year-old man on Clarence Town Road at Clarence Town.
The man had a fractured ankle and lower leg injuries and was taken to John Hunter Hospital.
Police believe his injuries are consistent with being hit by a car, but are yet to find any evidence of a vehicle being involved.
They would like to speak to anyone who may have been traveling in the area at the time.
