JETS REMAIN FOCUSED DESPITE PAST RECORD AGAINST MARINERS

The Jets have tasted victory just once in 16 attempts on the Central Coast, but their skipper says he isn’t worried about the history books heading into the round one clash with the Mariners.

“I never look at the past, always to the future. It’s a chance for us to get three points away so that’s what we’ll try to do.”

Kew Jaliens is likely to partner Sam Gallagher in central defence, with Adrian Madaschi missing the majority of today’s session.

David Carney expects to start on the left, behind Jonny Steele.

“We seem to work well together, played together at New York and have a good understanding so hopefully we can do that on Saturday if selected.”

The Jets also haven’t beaten the Central Coast in their last five A-League games.
