PARKS AND WILDLIFE CONDUCT REDUCTION BURNS IN GOSFORD
There was a lot of smoke around the Brisbane Water National Park today… the result of a low intensity hazard reduction burn by the National Parks and Wildlife Service.
With summer and high temperatures on the way, the burn-offs are being undertaken to reduce fuel loads.
Two more burn-offs will be completed in the area tomorrow, one 75 hectares west of Koolewong Fire Trail, the other, just north of Parks Bay residential area.
