LEARD FOREST ALLIANCE PREPARES FOR THREE-DAY PROTEST

The Leard Forest Alliance is preparing for a three-day protest against Whitehaven Coal’s Maules Creek mine.

More than 150 people are expected to take part in the event, which is calling on the state government to put a stop to the mine’s work.

This will be the fifth ‘Act Up’ event organised in protest of the company.

It follows the announcement of a 12-month extension to the freeze on coal seam gas exploration applications in New South Wales.
