New figures show emergency department wait times have improved at Gosford and Wyong Hospitals.
According to the latest Bureau of Health Performance Report, between April and June this year, 95 per cent of critical cases at Gosford’s ED were seen within 28 minutes.
While, at Wyong the wait was around 35 minutes.
Both times are down from earlier in the year.
However, neither hospital is meeting the recommended four hour total patient turn-around.
Central Coast Local Health District expects times to be slashed even further, once Urgent Care and Short Stay unites are opened at both hospitals.
