SANDVIK TO CUT JOBS AT HEATHERBRAE PLANT

Mining and construction company Sandvik has told workers there will be a round of cuts across Australia, including some from its Heatherbrae site.
There’s 700 workers at the Swedish company’s Heatherbrae plant but it is not yet known how many jobs will go.
The Australian Workers Union says the Mayfield plant won’t be effected.
The Union will meet with workers at 11am tomorrow.
It comes after the company expanded its operation, opening a new $50-million factory at Heatherbrae in March.
