ARMED ROBBERY AT NEWCASTLE SERVICE STATION

Police are appealing for the public’s help, following an armed robbery in Newcastle overnight.

Just before midnight, a man wielding a knife, entered a service station on Parry Street and demanded money from an employee.

He took an unknown amount of cash from the register before running along Denison Street.

The man’s described as being in his early 20s, about 183-centimetres tall with a medium build and dark curly hair.
