NURSE CHARGED WITH MURDER
A 46-year-old nurse has been charged with murdering two women in a Ballina nursing home, after being extradited from Melbourne last night.
The woman was arrested at a property in Victoria on Monday and arrived in Sydney overnight where she has been charged with two counts of murder and one of common assault.
It follows the suspicious deaths of Marie Darragh, 82, and Isobella Spencer 77, who died at the St Andrew’s Village home in May.
A third elderly woman at the home was attacked on the same night but survived.
She has been refused bail and will face Central Local Court today.
