Nambucca Valley Shire Mayor Rhonda Hoban is still concerned about the future of Macksville Hospital.
That’s despite $50 million allocated in the recent state budget to accelerate projects at Macksville, Grafton and Manning hospitals.
The Mayor says she still hasn’t received any details.
“New South Wales Health has already determined that the building is beyond being refurbished or renovated and what we really need is a replacement building and we need to start planning now before it’s allowed to run down any further,” Mayor Hoban said.
Mid North Coast Health has rejected suggestions Macksville Hospital will close.
