Hunter Catholic school teachers and support staff will strike next week over pay and conditions.
More than 1400 employees are expected to walk off the job for half a day next Thursday.
Members of the Independent Education Union will rally at Wickham Park, then march with a petition to the Catholic Schools Office in Newcastle.
The strike, one day before the end of term, will affect more than 50 schools and about 18,000 students.
