Knights coach Wayne Bennett has named his squad for Sunday’s clash with the Warriors.
Jeremy Smith and Joey Leilua return from injury, while Darius Boyd and Beau Scott will be monitored after Origin.
The recently re-signed Marvin Filipo is three weeks away from featuring for Newcastle, after suffering a forearm injury while playing in France.Filipo was sacked by the Knights a year ago, following an off-field altercation.
“I was going through a dark period, went through some stuff, come down to me having to leave the club. I wasn’t happy but I’m past that now and I’m looking forward to the season.”
Meanwhile Adam Cuthbertson has signed a four year deal with the Leeds Rhinos.
