The Chairman of the Newcastle Knights, Paul Harragon has released a statement as the club continues negotiations on its future ownership.
Mr Harragon said the “negotiations have been positive and fruitful” however they are still ongoing.
“We ask for everyone’s patience as we work through this process and your understanding that the negotiations are confidential, which is why we can’t provide a further update”.
On the set of abusive text messages reportedly sent from current owner Nathan Tinkler, he said there is continual banter and “some of [the players] give Nathan back more than he gives out”.
