Tourism contributes around $167-million to the Manning Valley economy each year.
To help continue that trend, Greater Taree City Council today launched its tourism program for the next 12 months.
It outlines a range of strategies for marketing the Manning Valley’s natural assets, including plans to further develop an online and social media presence.
The program’s main focus is on improving its collaboration with local operators.
“Our strategies are, that we can’t do this alone. We need to be working with our tourism partners to really present a solid foundation for the Manning Valley. We need our tourism board who give us the direction and the strategic way forward.”
