YARAD’S YOUNG GUN CLASSIC ROUND 1

Round one of the Yarad’s Young Gun Surf Life Saving Classic kicked off in Coffs Harbour Today.

It’s a revival of an event from the 80’s which was run for senior competitors – but now caters to 15 to 19 year olds from the Lower, Mid and North Coast surf clubs.

Competitors were out in force on paddle boards and ski’s to compete for valuable points, with Wauchope-Bonny Hills the one to watch.

“From Coffs Harbour, Sawtell, Wauchope-Bonny Hills and tacking Point there’s a couple of very good boys from Wauchope-Bonny Hills who will really challenge the Coffs Harbour boys and girls.” Ray McDonagh from Surf Life Saving NSW said.

The surf classic will now head to Forster for round two on January 4.
