SIMON WHITLOCK ON TARGET FOR A WORLD TITLE

Former Cessnock brick layer Simon Whitlock remains on course for a maiden world title, charging into the quarter-finals at the World Darts Championship in London, with a straight-sets demolition of England’s Kevin Painter.
The Wizard helped the announcer utter the sport’s most famous phrase five times.
“Whitlock really has found his groove. One Hundred and Eighty!”
The Aussie scored a four-nil win and is yet to drop a set so far at the event.
“Is he the beard to be feared in 2014’s World Championship.”
Whitlock now faces another Englishman, Ian White, on Sunday morning Eastern Australian time.
