IBINI RETURNS TO MARINERS, McGLINCHEY LEAVES

Attacking midfielder and Mariners star, Michael McGlinchey, will head to Japan to join former Head Coach Graham Arnold at Vegalta Sendai.

The New Zealander will be loaned to the J-League club for most of next year.

Meanwhile, the Central Coast team will welcome Bernie Ibini back into the side for round 14, on loan from Chinese Super League outfit Shanghai SIPG.

Mariners Coach Phil Moss says it’s not ideal losing McGlinchey so far into the A-League season, but he’s happy to welcome back the skill and professionalism of Ibini.
