A multi-faith church service will be held in Newcastle on Monday night to aid flood victims.
The service at the Sacred Heart Cathedral from 7pm will allow people to pray for those affected in Queensland and Northern New South Wales, and will also raise money for the premier’s flood relief appeal.
Hunter hotelliers will place collection buckets on bars in pubs from this weekend.
And some sporting organisations have also begun collecting money.
