A man has been charged with murder, more than two weeks after the assault of a woman in a shopping centre car park.
Shortly before midnight on December 7, a 37-year-old woman was allegedly knocked to the ground by the 30-year-old man in a car park on Molly Morgan Drive in East Maitland.
She was taken to John Hunter Hospital with severe head injuries, but died yesterday.
The man was arrested at a home in Dunbogan, on the mid north coast.
He’s been refused bail and will face court tomorrow.
