A man has been taken to hospital after a horrific crash three kilometres south of Armidale this morning.
Police say three cars were involved in the accident, which occurred along the New England Highway shortly before 10am.
The driver of a utility was rushed to Armidale Hospital with suspected back and neck injuries.
Motorists are advised to take caution, with traffic slowly moving through the area and some power lines down.
Emergency services remain on scene.
