WEATHER UPDATE: LINGERING TROUGH

A near stationary trough is settling in over eastern NSW and southern QLD. This combined with the heat and humidity should help flare up showers and storms along the Ranges with some cells rolling off the western and eastern slopes, possibly reaching the coastal towns in the afternoon including the Hunter.

There is going to be a southerly change also for the Hunter which is going to make for cooler conditions especially Sunday.
Consistent onshore winds are going to settle in next week making for partly cloudy skies and patchy showers for the coast as the trough lingers over the Great Divide.
Very small for surfers offshore boating best in the mornings.
It looks like it may be a wet Christmas for the Central Coast and Hunter. Possibly spreading to the NW towards Tamworth and north to the MNC on Christmas Day. I’ll check it again next week.
