NEWCASTLE MAN JAILED OVER HOMELESS PERSON’S DEATH
A Newcastle man who murdered a homeless person on a train, has been jailed for at least 11 years.
Angelo Kaloudis was travelling on a train between Newcastle and Sydney when he was set upon by 28-year-old Nathan Warren Isherwood in August, 2011.
Police believe Mr Kaloudis was attacked at Cardiff – he was later found at Fassifern suffering serious injuries, and died in hospital the next day.
Isherwood was today sentenced in Newcastle Supreme Court to a non-parole period of 11 years.
