NORTH WEST ATHLETES CELEBRATED

Talented athletes in the North West were celebrated at the region’s Schools Sports Association presentation in Tamworth today.

Inverell High School student Bevan French found it hard to carry all of his trophies, after claiming Sports Person of the Year, Most Outstanding Secondary Athlete and the North West Service to Sport Award.

Tyla Endemi from Tamworth Public School took out Most Outstanding Primary Athlete for her achievements in touch football.

And the day had a special touch, with 1978 Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist Katrina Morrow helping to present the major awards.
