A severe thunderstorm warning – including a tornado warning has been issued for the Northern Rivers, Mid North Coast, Northern Tablelands and parts of the Hunter and North West Slopes and Plains.
It comes after a tornado hit the village of Ben Lomond, near Guyra in northern New South Wales around 4.20 this afternoon.
There are reports that a home has been destroyed.
