Over 1000 athletes from across the country have lined up for a series of gruelling races, as part of the Challenge Forster Triathlon Festival.
The main event – the Half Challenge, which consists of a 1.9-kilometre swim, followed by a 90-kilometre cycle and 21-kilometre run.
Port Macquarie’s Tim Berkel and Clayton Fettel from Lennox Head were among the top athletes contesting the triathlon.
The festival catered to a wide range of abilities, from junior races to the enticer triathlon for beginners.
