WET WEEKEND AHEAD

More wet weather is on the way this weekend with a deepening trough set to spin into a low off the New South Wales coast. The heaviest falls will be in between Gosford and Port Macquarie with some of that rain driving inland over the upper Hunter before spreading north along the coast with afternoon storms set to develop again across the Northern Rivers, Tablelands and South East Queensland.
Some scattered showers and storms will drive far enough over the ranges to affect the North West but falls will be greater east of the Divide.
The wet weather will roll over into Sunday as the system pushes north.
It’s not looking great for boating or surfing.
