CENTRAL COAST PRIEST CHARGED IN INTERNATIONAL CHILD PORN BUST
A priest from the Central Coast is one of hundreds of people arrested in an international child port racket.
The 72-year-old was arrested at Lake Haven in August, while another priest was arrested at The Rocks in Sydney.
All up 348 people from across the globe have been charged with possessing child abuse material, and using a carriage service to access child pornography.
65 Australians have been charged.
The charges follow a three year investigation by police in Canada.

John Kerlatec said the internet had created new opportunities for
sex offenders.
“We will continue to prioritise the identification of these
people so they can be put before the courts,” he said in a
statement on Friday.
“Behind every child abuse image there is a real victim who has
been sexually exploited and abused, and we need to do everything we
can to remove these children from harm and arrest those involved in
that exploitation.”
Well done… I still suffer everyday from my own abuse. Its just a huge shame for me though when I tried to have the abuser charged, when I finally had the courage as an adult to tell anyone the police seemed to skim the surface of the investigation and he walked away free.: ( I feel like its because for me speaking out Fell alongside all of the investigations into the church child abuse issues. Its not an easy thing to come out with and MOST children carry the pain and shame into adulthood before one day they decide its safe enough to say anything because they realise they can no longer cope with the PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) or their abuser dies and they can finally face it. It takes Support and strength to face the fall out of speaking out. Sometimes you often hear comments made about why didn’t you say anything years ago…To that question the answer is, fear Backlash and not being believed…. CHILD SEX ABUSE is a huge crime that needs to be taken seriously. No one wants to make up a story like this because its not something ANYONE should ever have to deal with in their life… it’s distressingly sad and not cheap to try and heal from. My heart goes out to the children and to the adults who are now finding their own courage and strength to heal… <3 Heather.
