There’ll be plenty of adrenaline pumping at Beechwood this weekend, as 15 competitors race down Mount Pappinbarra for the Beechwood Billycart Classic.
In its 34th year, the five kilometre main race attracts competitors from as far as Newcastle and Coffs Harbour.
After coming sixth last year, locals Phil Saville and Micheal Cole hope to ride ‘Savish’ to a podium finish.
Open cart, four wheel and pro classes will compete in the event.
The race gets underway at 11am on Sunday.
