Fire and Rescue NSW has responded to the second fire in a fortnight at the heritage listed former gas-works at Hamilton North.
Four units responded to the fire at about 3.15 this morning.
It was contained at around 4.50am, however much of the building has been destroyed.
Crews were decontaminated due to the presence of asbestos in the roof.
Investigations are continuing, however the two fires are not believed to be linked at this stage.
