JOYCE STANDS BY TRAVEL EXPENSES

Barnaby Joyce is again under scrutiny over the use of taxpayer funds.

It’s emerged the now-Agriculture Minister billed taxpayers more than $4,500 for attending three rugby league games last year.

Today Mr Joyce stood by his travel expenses, saying he won’t be paying the money back.

“All of those invitations are official invitations, you’re officially invited to go to those functions there you are surrounded by people who lobby you for a range of issues. ”

Mr Joyce says he supports a number of programs within the NRL and was invited to attend.
