Cannabis with a street value of more than $2.3 million was seized last night near Iluka.
Police raided a property on Goodwood Island Road north of Grafton confiscating almost 800 marijuana plants.
Some were grown hydroponically inside the house while others were allegedly found on the verandah and in the backyard.
Inspector Murray Gillett said, “Fairly complex in the big scheme of things – set up in the back of the house covered by green shade cloth and as I said some very good work by the police to discover it.”
A man is helping police with their inquiries but no charges have yet been laid.
