BUSHFIRE BREAKS OUT IN DUDLEY

A bushfire has started in the Dudley area.

The fire has jumped Redhead Road to the rear of properties in Boundary Street and Gardner Street and around Dudley Oval.

Crews are setting up with property protection. Residents are advised to follow their bushfire survival plans take shelter as the fire approaches. Seek advice from the fire fighters in the area.

The fire has crossed Redhead Road and is moving in an easterly direction between Dudley and Redhead, through the Awabakal Nature Reserve towards the coast.

There are reports of possible spot fires in Dudley. Crews are dealing with any new outbreaks.

More than 70 firefighters are working in the area. The fire has burnt out 51 hectares.
