SINGLETON BUSHFIRE THREAT UPGRADED

This advice is from the Rural Fire Service.

The Mt Tangory Fire has been upgraded from Advice to Watch and Act.

Residents in the area of Cranky Corner Road, Glen Alistair Road and Bimbadeen Road are being informed of the potential fire threat should the weather deteriorate throughout the day.

Firefighters, supported by aircraft, are working to ensure the fire remains within its containment lines.

Advice

Residents of Cranky Corner Road (South) and Glen Alistair Road:
•If your plan is to leave or you are not prepared, leave now.

Residents of Bimbadeen Road (North):
•If your plan is to leave or you are not prepared, leave now.

Bimbadeen Road may be impacted by fire if conditions escalate. It may not be safe to travel through this area.

Check and follow your Bush Fire Survival Plan. If you do not have a Bush Fire Survival Plan, know what you will do if the fire threatens your property. If your plan is to leave or you are not prepared, leave now. Well prepared, actively defended homes can offer safety during the fire.

•Continue to stay up to date with the bush fire situation by checking http://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au, listening to your local radio station or by calling the NSW RFS Bush Fire Information Line on 1800 679 737.
•If you live in the area but are away from home, it may not be safe to return to your property.
•For information on road closures, check http://www.livetraffic.rta.nsw.gov.au.
•Roads may be closed without warning.
