Newcastle Basketball Stadium was transformed for a cultural festival on the weekend.
There were plenty of bare feet treading the boards for traditional Indian dances and ceremonies in the Navratri Festival, an annual homage to a Hindu goddess.
The moves are passed down from one generation to the next… and the night is a celebration of food and music.
The event was also a fundraiser, donating $1,000 to children’s charity, Variety.
