Polair made a surprise landing at Tamworth’s bicentennial park this afternoon….
But, it wasn’t an emergency – just a quick detour for some show and tell with local children.
The chopper was in the area visiting kids at a Camp Quality event at Lake Keepit.
“just something that we do, when we go to regional areas, that we try and land at an oval, and young kids can come and talk to the crew and the pilots and ask questions about what we do and while we’re here.”
The crew made the most of the opportunity, grabbing some lunch before the trip back to Sydney.
