A huge rain band is currently making its way across the region. It is good soaking rain, the best we’ve had in more than three months.
The rain will continue to fall overnight with showers and storms set to move through on Tuesday before clearing. The warm dry weather will return quickly for a fine, dry very warm week.
Alice Springs has set a new record enduring 20 days in a row over 30 degrees. That has never happened this early in the season. There average monthly maximum is 33.5 degrees 6 above normal.
