STATE FUNDING FOR THE UPPER HUNTER
Member for Upper Hunter, George Souris, today announced $21.3 million in funding for four infrastructure projects in the Upper Hunter.
The projects include:
· $4-million for the reconstruction of Thomas Mitchell Drive
· $2-million for the Upper Hunter Regional Conservatorium of Music
· $5.7-million to implement the Singleton Gym and Swim Masterplan
· $9.6-million replace the Muswellbrook sewerage treatment plant
Allocations were approved by Minister for Planning & Infrastructure Brad Hazzard, who said the projects demonstrate the ability of the Hunter Infrastructure Investment Fund (HIIF) to leverage more funding.
“In this case a NSW Government contribution through the HIIF of $21.3 million is enabling projects worth $62.2-million to proceed,” Mr Hazzard said.
