CANDIDATE Q & A – Holly Beecham, Christian Democratic Party candidate for Robertson

HOLLY_BEECHAM

What motivated you to run for the seat of Robertson?

I have observed so much corruption in government and only the Christian Democratic Party deals with issues with honesty, integrity and accountability and that’s what government should be based on and I want to be a part of that.

What would be your main priority if elected?

My main priority if elected would be to lower the cost of living for families by abolishing the carbon tax. The carbon tax has forced up the prices of day to day necessities as businesses have passed this cost onto consumers at the supermarket checkout, the fuel pump and the price of electricity.

How do you rate your chances of winning?

I’m confident that I have as good a chance as every other candidate that is running.

Who will you be preferencing?

All preferencing is handled by CDP head office. CDP will always preference a party that shares the same morals and values.

What do you think will be your biggest challenge?

If elected I think the biggest challenge for me would be having news and media promoting our good policies.

As a stay at home mum what skills do you think you can bring to the job?

I have other skills from my years of employment prior to choosing to be a stay at home mum. I worked as a security officer and as a concierge at a lot of corporate sites in Sydney so I have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. As a stay at home mum I have good management and organisational skills having to manage a household, I know how to look after the needs of others and I know the struggles that families face.

Is it your first tilt at politics?

Yes it is.
