PROPOSED COAL MINE GOES ON EXHIBITION
Residents can now have their say on a proposed open cut coal mine planned for Gloucester.
The State Government today placed the development application and Environmental Impact Statement for the Rocky Hill Coal Project on public exhibition.
Gloucester Resources Limited is behind the $160-million proposal, which would see an open cut mine developed on the outskirts of the town.
The company says it would provide 100 jobs during construction and 150 once fully operational.
The documents can be viewed on the Department of Planning’s website until October 28.
