Westfield Kotara’s plans to expand its retail space could mean the loss of up to 250 parking spaces at the centre.
Councillor Tim Crakanthorp is concerned the expansion will result in more cars being parked in local streets.
The outcome of the application will be determined by Newcastle Council on Tuesday night.
