LOCAL WOMAN URGES DRIVING SCHOOLS TO CATER FOR PEOPLE WITH SPINA BIFIDA

A young Bureligh Waters woman is urging local driving schools to cater for people with spina bifida.

Sarah Morgan was elated to pass a medical check to get her learner’s licence, only to be crushed to find she can’t practise here.

  1. Sarah is the most amazing person I have met, I met her on a cruise back in 2010!! She deserves to get her Licence more than anyone I know!! It’s sad to see that a big city like the GC doesn’t have these services!! We r behind ur fight 100% girl!!

  2. I wrote multiple emails to seven sunrise about the lack of driving schools with dual hand controls. To this day i haven’t had a reply. I have also written to the then transport minister and was provided a list of related services, but none of them used dual controls, except racq drivigschool and ivor Booker. I finally found a school on the sunshine coast who agreed to let me use my own car, with no pedals or controls on the instructors side of the car.
