Port Stephens police arrested a 21-year-old and 41-year-old man early this morning over a series of alleged break and enters on Coles supermarkets in the area.
Police including the dog squad raided properties in Mallahbula and Karuah at about 7.20am.
Police found a sledge hammer and a jemmy bar.
The 21-year-old Karuah man was charged with two counts of aggravated break, enter and steal. He was refused bail to appear at Newcastle Local Court on Wednesday 24 July.
The 41-year-old Mallabula man was charged with four counts of aggravated break, enter and steal. He was refused bail to appear at Newcastle Local Court on Wednesday 11 September.
