The cold, damp, grey skies will begin to clear in the west and across the Hunter with increased sunshine spreading further north to the MNC. The cloud band will take longer to clear form the Northern Rivers and SE QLD where the isolated showers will continue.
All of the inclement weather will clear by the weekend ahead of another short lived system moving in late on Sunday across the Hunter before spreading north during Monday.
