WEATHER UPDATE: COASTAL SHOWERS RETURNING

The perfect Winter days along the coast are coming to an end. The clear skies have made for some extremely cold nights. This morning was the coldest start to the day across the Hunter Valley in 3 to 5 years for most locations.

The cold starts will continue with more morning fog patches and frosts inland where it is likely to remain dry.
SE winds are now ready to settle in and this will help return the clouds producing patchy showers from Gosford to Southport.

Very little rain will make it inland, there is a only the slight risk of a few showers reaching the Northern Tablelands.
