WESTRAC CUTS 200 HUNTER JOBS

200 jobs will be cut from the Hunter after heavy machinery supplier Westrac announced a company restructure this afternoon.

The majority of those jobs are expected to come from the company’s multi-million dollar headquarters at Tomago, as well as its Singleton workshop.

Overall 350 jobs will be cut across New South Wales due to weaker demand from the resources industry and challenging market conditions.

Workers have been offered voluntary redundancies until the end of next week.
