A driver had a lucky escape from injury when his station wagon overturned in Coffs Harbour last night.
The man was alone in the vehicle at the time.
He told police he had veered to avoid hitting a kangaroo as he was driving along Korora Basin Road.
Instead the car struck a concrete storm water pipe and rolled over, blocking both lanes.
Emergency services personnel, including Rural Fire officers at the scene managed to move the damaged vehicle out of the way.
