The North Tamborine community is tonight mourning the tragic death of a well-known tour operator, killed while working underneath his 22-seater bus this afternoon.
In driving rain, the bus rolled backward over the top of the 63 year old man.
“It’s come dislodged from it’s chocks at the time we don’t know the full details of how and why but that’ll be investigated shortly by the forensic crash unit and yeah, very sad day on the mountain.”
The accident happened on his property- his family was home at the time and raised the alarm.
Paramedics performed CPR, but could not revive the man.
