WEATHER UPDATE: NW CONVEYOR

A massive cloud band stretches across the country at the moment. Moisture is riding in off the very warm sea surface temperatures of the northern Indian Ocean. This system has already produced the wettest June on record for Broome, it is also quite cold under this layer of cloud as well.
Some light drizzle made it to the east falling on the Central Coast and Hunter. That light patchy rain will spread north affecting the southern areas of the NW tomorrow. More cloud for your Friday with NW winds building ahead of a southerly change moving through on Saturday and that change will trigger some coastal showers which will contract north affecting the Northern Rivers and SE QLD across the long weekend.
